Anza Solar Customer Experiences
Rapid & proactive action to bypass new AD/CVD tariff risk and to not lose money
Anza helped five companies go from module selection to PO for 1.5 GW in less than 4 weeks to take advantage of lower pricing before the new AD/CVD case increased module prices by 20%. Our close monitoring of solar tariff policy issues and existing SPAs allowed our clients to achieve these rapid results, securing fixed prices and terms with vendors despite new tariffs. DG and utility-scale buyers alike benefited from a more than one GW purchase volume. Anza’s proactive measures ensured these module buyers didn’t suffer from increased costs while reducing their procurement risk.
Domestic content analysis incorporated lifetime value calcs to determine most attractive investment strategy
An Anza client needed to understand the value of using a certain domestic module to satisfy the ITC domestic content requirement compared to other products in the market. Anza had direct access to the product, which the client did not, as well as known stockpiles of their product. In a matter of days, we analyzed the value of utilizing the domestic module on their project while also taking into account the impact of the product’s production and install cost savings. The analysis helped show the client that the domestic product was worth the investment from a total value perspective. It was 1.5 cents more valuable than the next best non-domestic option that met risk criteria.
Successful module strategy pivot that saved time, money, and relationships & preserved project milestones
A client wanted to verify if a recent project purchase, which included a $2M deposit on a module, was a good deal. Anza identified significant risks with the module due to AD/CVD solar tariff issues and hail exposure. Leveraging our strong relationship with the vendor, we facilitated a clean termination. The client then utilized Anza’s market-wide module pricing, solar tariff data, and Effective $/W analytics, which breaks down install costs and production benefit, to identify a financially valuable and reliable alternative module. Our deep supplier relationships and transparent processes saved the customer time, avoided financial losses, and ensured a sound investment.
